fried eggs & Toast

Is it really breakfast without the perfect egg? This simple recipe is not rocket science, but it should still be a respected process. Add it to your arsenal and it’ll be an instant home favorite.

Serves: 1

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs

  • Olive oil or butter

  • Heavy dash of Adobo Masala

  • Dash* of sea salt

  • Black pepper, to taste

  • Spicy Chili Crisp (Recommendation: Lao Gan Ma)

  • Sourdough toast (Gochujang loaf from Out of Thin Air, if you’re in LA)

Instructions

  1. Get your pan (we use a cast-iron skillet) over medium heat. Add olive oil or butter.

  2. Crack those eggs. For crispy edges, tilt the pan slightly and spoon the hot oil or butter over the whites.

  3. Dust while it's sizzling. Heavy dash of Adobo Masala, pinches of sea salt and black pepper.

  4. Over easy, 2–3 minutes on its bottom and 30 more seconds on the flip.

  5. Slide onto gochujang sourdough toast (from Out of Thin Air if in LA).

  6. Drizzle some Spicy Chili Crisp on top. This should be a staple in every household!

  7. Add a bit of of our Tomato Chutney for a sweet, tangy kick.

  8. Let that yolk run.
